Help (firing order)

I removed the distributor and was not aware that the gear came along with it.Not sure know what was the firing position.Let alone, I moved the crank position already.What would be the best way to put it back with the correct firing position.Hopefully this makes sense to everybody what I'm trying to do.Thanks in Advance

set the timing marks to top dead center if the valve cover is off all the better ( make sure number one cyl valves are both closed) reinsert the dist.pointing the rotor at number one plug wire. at that point you can only be right on or 180 degrees off. If rocker arms were exposed you should be right on
