Another distributor question

Has anyone used the vacuum advance listed under compatible parts #22301-43801? Is it still available? My vacuum advance is not rebuildable. The end that attaches to the breaker plate is missing and the rest is in bad shape. Has anyone tried a pertronix system? Any detailed information on how to improve the ignition system would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ed M

I've tried ordering that vacuum advance, and it is no longer available. Even if you go with the Pertronix system, you still need the vacuum advance. I have only heard rumors about the universal Pertronics system, don't know if it works. I have talked to Pertronics personally, and they said they didn't have anything that would work on our distributors. But, they are only about 30 miles from me. Some day I plan on taking a distributor to them and having them build an electonic ignition kit for the water proof distributor. I might have an extra vacuum advance that you could have rebuilt. hey I have 2 complete caps and an entire distr. with 3 coils avaiable............

just diregard ur vacume advance and bump up your timeing a bit works just as well
