Hello John try doing a search on , rocky mountain patrol , RMP&O another great patrol website the many things you ask are usually asked by all new owners and it is usually the same answer .search Ebay! or local junkyards trying to find one there are some folks that stock pile parts for future restorations and they will often part with them for a kings ransome ive found it is often much cheaper to purchase a complete patrol.and pull the parts i need from it i have a 69 sitting outside that is literally picked apart not much left at all , just Fyi if you end up needing a rolling chasis due to rot . i have it

butt to answer youre question s above fj40 axles complete will solve all youre problems I/E brakes and disc conversion and the parts for them are easy to find or you can try the 80 chevy truck conversion lots of fab work though 260 and 240 Z parts wont even be close way to small
