1963 patrol L60

Really old stuff that got saved. Here are the old Nissan Patrol Club America messages from the 'General' category. Warning, it's dusty in here!

My speedometer only works with the front hubs locked in. It will not work if the front hubs are not turned in. Any clues?
So, I just bought this Patrol….

My Dad, who is the original owner of my patrol, told me that the patrols from the early sixties had the speedo cable attached to the front differential or something like that. It was changed in later patrol models. I think all patrols came with permanently locked hubs and that locking hubs were a dealer installed option. Try following your cable from your speedo down and see where it ends up. A simple solution to this would be to just leave your hubs locked all of the time. This shouldn't hurt much unless you are planning on driving your patrol a whole bunch. Anyhow that is all I know about this. Hope it helps some.
