Hi fellow Patrollers! I want to pull my front hubs and grease them, but would like some pointers before doing so. It is equipted with, I've been told, "Selectrol" or "Selectramatic" type hubs, locally made but long out of business. These have two 'fingers' on each hub, to engage, you have to pull up on the fingers, rotate 180* and push them back down. Are there any tricks or proceedures to doing them?I would not want to lose or break anything...Aside from some rubber o rings, I understand there are no readily available parts for them. Thanks

I had some beat-up old Warn hubs on my Patrol and I went through the same mental anguish.  I even called Warn.  When I finally "did it" and removed them I kicked myself for being so chicken. Go slowly, but they are pretty simple to understand.  By the way, I replaced my thrashed, no longer made Warns for brand new Superwinch Hubs #400507. Mine cost $102.95   Good Luck.   Gary
