Gas Mileage????
I just purchased my first Patrol. I'm awaiting it's arrival (anxiously!) and never stopped to consider gas mileage. It's not really an issue, but I'm curious.... I bought a 1969 KL-60 with the inline 6. Thanks for any info.....Chris.

Chris; Expect about 13-17 mpg on avg. In proper tune they're surprisingly good with gas. Mine definitely runs best on 91 oct., and I regularly use a lead substitute. Good luck with your Patrol!

Gas Mileage????
Although I have had my engine rebuilt in the last 12000 miles and have a Marks 4WD 5 speed with over drive, I have only gotten 16mpg once. My last refill indicated that I got 10 MPG. I think I get about the same mileage that 6 cyl Jeeps get in my area. I think it depends on where you live. Here in the Sierras I don't get to run 50-100 mile stretches (ala Kansas) non-stop. Every time you hit a lower gear you eat gas. I have gone to a K&N Air filter, Ignition is way advanced. New Platimum Plugs, Synthetic oil, and every tuning trick in the book. For a real comparison ask a Partol owner in your area what kind of mileage they get.

Gas Mileage????
I live in Texas and most of my driving is highway. It may sting a little going from a 28 mpg Ford Probe, to the Patrol, but I'm keeping the Probe for distances. You mentioned asking someone in my area....I've never seen one of these things before. I stumbled across this website and fell in love! I was about to try the LandCruiser, but I got lucky before I found one I liked. Thanks for all your help.....I'm sure I'll be back asking for more in the future.Chris.
