Sounds like a good idea.

I hope to have my G60 running by then :D

I was planning to do a trip around then anyway. I thought it could be fun to go to the camel races in Alice Springs or in Queensland. All the way to the cape is a long way.

Why not just weigh the truck? Do you guys have scales in Aus. at the trucks tops? Here we have them at truck stops (pay $10 to weigh the truck) or there is free ones some places. Like on Sunday I was coming home from Utah, crossing the Rocky Mountains there is a scale, unmanned on Sunday. So I weighed my Cruiser, 5880lbs, unloaded with two guys. I was nearly 7,000lbs in Baja last January with gear for two guys for 4 weeks, full up on fuel, beers, food and water. If you do weigh it, it is best to get a front and rear weight along with a total weight. I like to know exactly what is going on weight wise on my trucks, weighed my Cruiser 4x in the last 2yrs. When I got it before doing anything, it was 5250lbs.

Cheers

I am thinking of doing the Canning stock route in 2018. and I am doing the Ann beadell Highway /Hay river Track in august 2015 and the longest stretch of no fuel is Port Augusta to Coober Pedy 536ks. It will handel the wate and I am of the opyen to much fuel is better then not having inuf. and 10 weeks a gow fuel was 1$ a leeter so I filld both tanks and it lasted me 4 weeks.

G60 patrols only I been told

Hey mike
You still have over twelve months to get the 66 ready more than ample time.
I was told that non g60 spaces were limited to one or two vehicles in which spaces had been taken
You will have to confirm with miller the team leader

All of them at this stage. Except I'll be running a Marks instead of the 3 speed.
