I have started my bimini top.
Just getting the top off was such a pain. I had made new wood panels inside and opted to forego the open space the originals have to allow a wrench. The slot was never big enough to really use my tools anyhow. The thing was really stuck so had to used wedges/shims to go at it slowly. Some 2x2 angle was cantilevered out from my engine hoist. White vinyl will look good but the rollcage will need a few center bars for support.

Looking good Dave, love the photo with the engine crane maxed out

The Bikini tops seem perfect for summer wheelin. I like the white vinyl too, something different.

And the softie door straps just work with it. In your neck of the woods, about the time you're done with it you'll want the hard top back on. Which reminds me; did you ever get your heater fixed? ;)

I thought the white could simulate the factory white caps on the Nissan hardtops.

I did vacillate a lot about taking it off so late but...hey! The heater is fixed because I stole the 65 core and put in the 67.

Yeah, I remember watching re-runs of it on Saturday mornings when I was a kid in the early 70's...

But the ULTIMATE safari show was the cheezy version of Tarzan with Johnny Wiesmuller, where Tarzan spoke perfect english, and could drive a Jeep... and yet for some reason he still choose to run around in a loincloth...?
