Nice. :D That is a relatively recent replacement. The original shocks were another Japanese brand, possibly Tokubo. The KYBs were stock replacements.

Ok, so we have this lower radiator hose with this outlet on it. My Official 1963 G60 Patrol Repair Manual doesn't show the outlet on the hose. Just curious if anyone can explain this? Understand, my manual is for the Aussie G60.

I will report back on the full #, thanks RiverPatrol, that shock didn't look as old as I am......few still moving parts do.

The outlet on the lower rad hose is for a heater hose. It may not show in the manual because an optional heater wasn't available wasn't available until about '65.

Patrol Whisperers,

This hose goes somewhere and must do something very important. After buying every hose referenced I can find....none look like this shape.

This one is bent and creased, though working when removed.

The question is, is there a correctly shaped hose? If so, please point my Patrol in the right direction.

Following Rob Moore's suggestion I sent my Hitachi VC42 to Dynamic Industries in Ft. Worth. He fixed me up in about a week. Total turn around from door to door was 14 days, total cost $250.00. Glad to pay it and glad to have a guy thankful for the work. Send him more.

Hi L60Boerne,

that's your bypass hose, sits just to the rhs of your thermostat housing, between the housing and the water pump ( pic below )

they are NLA here, if you can't find one you could try a cut down top radiator hose from an N14 Nissan Pulsar, assuming they were sold in the US... ( pic below )

Good luck !
