1967 Family Patrol Project

Lookie what I just got from our local Nissan dealer... I ordered two, received one and it only took six-ish weeks!

I saw in a recent post that you scored a New Carb Insulator.

I have been scouring the web for one of those or even a suitable replacement, but I don't have on to measure. Could you possibly measure it and post a dimensional sketch?

I read through your Family Patrol project pages from end to end, what a great story. I'm always looking to see what will happen next. I'm just getting back to my project after several years of doing nothing with it. BTW I live in Dunnigan, and work in West Sacramento. When I get mine road worthy again, I would like bring it by and see your collection as well.

I found the time to snap a few pictures of the gasket. We should meet for lunch in Sac sometime and you can see the gasket for yourself!

It's been crazy busy here at the family Patrol house -- anyway, it's double feature night tonight!

First, we had to re-position the Patrol for the double feature...


Did/do your kids ever dig holes in the back yard? Ours do! Em is doing a little 4-wheeling


Aerogirl... the orange Patrol had zero trouble pulling the white '66 Patrol through the rough!


Now we're ready for the double feature!


I wonder if two US Patrols have EVER been side-by-side at the drive in movies...

No, but our 70 pound African Sulcata Tortoise sure does....

...and, I am 100% certain he does it PURELY to aggravate me...

That's one heck of a hole for your Patrol to be diving into it like that. Your kids must be in good shape

Okay, so it's been awhile since anything exciting, Patrol wise, has happened...

We got the call -- Our second P engine rebuild is done! So today, Jay and I took the Patrol over to Mother's Engine shop to show it off and pick up the engine. He's an awesome guy.

Our happy little Patrol visiting with the heart surgeon (aka Engine rebuilder) who brought it back to life! (That's Jay peeking out the windshield)


Yes, that is a long-block P engine tucked into the back of a Patrol... With room to spare!


Other updates -- The Fuel Injection computer is still sitting on the workbench waiting for some love and attention...

Merry Christmas and birthday season! (Jay just turned Nine and Joe will be 14 in just a few hours!).
