Greetings,

I'm replacing the wiper motors now, If I recall the wire polarity reverses in some cases with these Patrols. Normally the black wire denotes the ground on DC systems. However, my black wires are not long enough to attach to the negative terminal.

Please direct me. Does the black wire go on the + or the - ?

Thanks,
L60Boerne

Black should go on the -. It's possible you're using a different style motor that mounted in the opposite orientation.

Thank you, I have it wired as you noted. They are OEM motors rebuilt a couple of years ago. I hope they work. I should have some good pictures from the 06 Ranch next week.

Greetings,
Flagstaff Patrol made it through field testing last week. Eddie need to tune the throttle control a bit but otherwise it ran perfectly.

I added an extra leaf spring to each bundle. That helps with shock loading in rough country at the expense of a generally rougher ride.

I sure wish they would have kept the lower gear rations of the very early Patrols. The 65 and later transmissions are better suited for the highway. Still it made it through some very rough country.

Greetings Patrollees Worldwide,

Just a note to say Flagstaff Patrol is in the body shop for body and paint. The first pictures from the "artist" showed a bit more rust than I thought but sheet meatl will fix it.

Flafstaff Patrol will come out a dirty cheddar colar in abour three weeks.
