Looks great! The disk brake conversion looks like an original equipment.
Where did you source the front axle nut socket that apoears in the last picture?

I think that is the first one that I bought for my land cruiser. It is a 55mm socket. The land cruiser actually uses a 54mm.

Started back working on taking pieces off the Patrol. Got the motor and rear axle out and found some new-ish leaf springs. Not sure what the part number goes back to but is was not the same number as my parts catalog.

It's always cool to find little surprises like that when working on the projects. I know when I first started getting into Patrols springs were still available for a very brief period.
Beyond any hope for intervention

Took out gas tank and washed out a bunch of 30+ year old Colorado dirt to get ready to clean up underside a bit.

Ordered some tires but I think it was a swing and a miss! The old tires have a 6.75 treadwidth and cross section of 8.75. The 7.00-15's I ordered are only 5 inches across the tread pattern!

You're measuring on worn tires and that will increase somehow the treadwidth. Probably a better comparison will be to check the nominal specs of both tires. Maybe the difference won't be that much.rdarnell wrote:Ordered some tires but I think it was a swing and a miss! The old tires have a 6.75 treadwidth and cross section of 8.75.
