I've been driving my Patrol for decades now. It will go easily to 75MPH, but you're at the max rpm at that moment. Being this engine one of the most under-square engines (0.75 ratio) ever made with a very long stroke, these rpm are not that safe for long periods of times. You'll find that the biggest difference between the Patrol engine and the Toyota, is 7 main bearings compared with 4 of the Toyota, ...or a Chevy, ...or a Ford
