Definitely a stupid question... My new indicator and brake lights have three wires, red, yellow, and black. Should black be ground? Does it matter whether the red or yellow go to the headlight or turn signal switch provided each pair is the same?

The black is probably ground. The original lights are self grounding.

It does matter where the red and yellow go. One is for turn signal, which will be the a different filament in the bulb. Just switch them until you get it right.

The black was ground. The red was headlights on each. Yellow was blinkers on each.

I'm trying to pack my bearings and inspect my hubs but I want to remove this gasket with out destroying it. Any advice

A safe way of doing it, will be driving out the bearing cup behind the seal. As it comes out, the seal will come out as well. Use a flat tipped drift punch and do equal taps on both sides of the bearing cup.

The picture below shows the gap in the casting behind the outer bearing (smaller). There's the same gap behind the inner bearing (bigger). You can safely drive the bearing out hitting in those places.

Those seals are cheap and easily found these days. It would probably be a lot faster and easier to just replace the seal. IMO

What cleaning solvent does everyone use to clean parts? I hav to clean various parts icluding a water pump and I want to clean everything out well. I was just going to use varsol. Any thoughts?
