It has a hard top but is set up for a soft top from what I can tell
VIN L6010218
Number on frame rail is L60-10218
I scrubbed the daylights out of the spot on the engine block that is supposed to be engraved but can't see anything on it?
Kept in Sturgeon Bay, WI
Owner / member name on this forum ; Sconnierider
Can you post a picture of the ID tag on the firewall?

Sorry for omitting that... I would have but it's missing. Sadly some previous owner felt compelled to keep it.

I hate when that happens. :x Can you then post a picture of the ID on the frame rail? Thanks!

EDIT: Never mind! Yours is already in the Registry. It has a long history here. You did very well to get it for just the transportation, this Patrol has had quite a bit of work done to it. If you're interested in it's history you can read the threads from the previous owner, XploreNV here: https://www.60patrol.com/forum/search.p ... &start=100 . There are even pictures of what it used to look like. :D

Outstanding news! I've already emailed the previous owner. And I see a few posts from the owner before that so I'll be penning him as well. Excited to converse with those that have put forth the love of keeping this old bird on the road. This is really cool! Thanks admin!

Hopefully they will give you the VIN plate... that is an unusual souvenir to keep.

My Patrol is scrap now. Last year my shop caught fire and lost everything including my 66. Pulling off what’s salvageable. Might use frame and tub as a matching trailer. My wife found me a 65 that was rebuilt better than my 66 by a nice gentleman. New shop is getting poured in a couple weeks.

So sorry to hear that!
Glad to know the spirit in your family for a new Patrol.

Great to join you all!! I am about to be the proud owner of L60-01674. I found it in Phoenix, Arizona and it is about to move to Gilbert, AZ. I am so grateful for this registry as I think it may have helped me find one of the previous owners!

Thank you all!
