I think that one will be the most challenging project you've taken on.
Ok, I'm confused! So David, you are taking on 2 Patrol builds simultaneously? You sir are a glutton for punishment, aren't you?
Is this the "Canyon Patrol"?

I see that one is still listed as for sale on Facebook.

Paul,
I can report the Canyon Patrol seller has gone dark. He moved away from it and so who knows what will happen with it. He knows I'm ready when he is.
Patrolling again soon,

Greetings to all Patrollees Worldwide,
RiverPatrol has entered the see saw, never a direct path, world of L60Boerne. Her usually organized and pleasant southern California days now are disrupted by my often ill advised requests. She will surely be nominated for sainthood. Most of the time she explains the error of my ways and we return to a viable path. In spite of my disruptions Punkin's morphing to P1 continues. After the mechanical is complete it will be shipped here. Once here we will remove the body panels and paint it a color yet to be determined.
Monday at 5:00 am I will start towards Lake City

. I hope to tunnel my way into my barn by midweek. Both Patrols will loop Lake City for their own mid winter parade.
Plateaucal has offered to help me sort through my spares for some parts needed for P1

. I will bring back Plateaucal's spare rear axle in hopes Canyon Patrol revives. Then Rene will snow plow a path to my trailer and we will load Phoenix Patrol for its trip back to Texas. Its future remains uncertain

. At one point I thought I had a deal on Canyon Patrol which pointed Phoenix Patrol in one direction but now that that trail has gone cold maybe it goes to the 06 or maybe I keep it

. If it leaves for the 06 I will pull all the parts off it given to me by the forum

and they will go on P1. P1 will be a hunting/overland vehicle. It maybe topless or get the soft top from Phoenix Patrol. It all depends on if the seller of Canyon Patrol. I just need one more solid operating Patrol

......doesn't everyone tell them selves that as they drift off to sleep?
Patrolling again soon,

Sounds like you have quite the parts stash in Lake City, and that there's quite a bit of snow. A mid winter parade sounds fun, I hope the heaters work.

Greetings,
Would anyone have a spare driveshaft and U joints for a PTO winch they would sell? If so please send me a PM. Alternatively if any has the specs to have one made those would be appreciated as well.
Patrolling for parts,
L60Boerne

I happen to know that mad4hws has a PTO driveshaft and u-joints that he might be able to give you specs for.

Greetings Patrollees worldwide,
This last week I executed a surgical strike on the Phoenix Patrol. I drove to Lake City, loaded it, then drove straight back 2.5 days. Last summer ready with the wrench Rene did a masterful job of changing out the carburetor to a rebuilt VC 42 and adjusted the clutch that King Kong Craig didn't install perfectly. Now it runs great.
After driving it this weekend the direction of PatrolP1, formerly Punkin, is set. I'm keeping Phoenix Patrol "as is", it is just too good. Therefore, PatrolP1 will be finished out as another hunting rig and will be stashed at the 06 Ranch. BTW, the owner is all ready to host a Patrol Rally when we get ready. It will not be free, but it will unforgettable.
So in the coming weeks look to see some pictures of Punkin starting the transformation. Cosmetically it will get a new paint color, color unknown at this time, then a forward facing second row seat from a 1985 K5 Blaser mounted atop a 12" riser. Then I will transfer the oversized tires from Phoenix Patrol to PatrolP1 and then Phoenix Patrol will get the long awaited 16" rims from RiverPatrol's inventory with some new BFG Mud Terrains.
Lastly, Patrol P1 will get receivers in the front and rear then a receiver mounted winch so it can be deployed from either bumper. It will remain topless.
Recently RiverPatrol sent me a picture of Punkin's motor after a brief cleaning and it was looking real good, she said it ran pretty smooth as well. We are excited to get a few more things done will Rob Moore is building it a VC 42 like the Petronix upgrade, re-arced leaf springs with new leaves added for a 2" lift, alternator upgrade, then the front axle swap with rebuilt Binfield knuckles. We will sand and paint it here.
Good news, while I was in Lake City I found in my spare parts the steering wheel and light pull knob it needed from the parts Plateaucal gave me. So we are gaining ground.
Patrolling and rolling,
L60Boerne
