Funny but I was actually trying to buy this very LG61 about a year ago. I only saw two pictures of it but I have an eye for these trucks and can tell when I am looking at a good one. Even with just a few small pictures.

The LG61 sold before I was able to do anything about it, such is the way it goes when you are so far away from the truck. Good Patrol to restore, I would love to own one of these someday, but with a 5spd, rear disc brakes, power steering and front/rear ARB air lockers. I noticed you have the light duty C200 rear axle. Is the H233 fairly rare down there in G61s? I have seen a few in Colombia with the H233 rear, a couple in Australia with it too.

Cheers

Thanks Ian. Most of them have ligtb duty.

It is not easy find good patrol even in Colombia. Most of these cars have been working hard ( and still working) so you find a lot of modifications and bad upgrades. The car that I am working on (the same in your pictures) looks great when I bougt BUT when I started to work noticed that it was in very bad condition body and frame. Some one respaired before using a lot of paint products without repair the body. I always try to restorate like you focus on original and in details. So much work. I have a body expert working full time in this car since August. One painter was working for almost 3 months and 1 helper full time. When I am during my days off (when I am working is too far from Bogota Drilling Oil wells) I am 100% working on mechanical and electricity for this Patrol.

Thanks

Saludos desde Colombia
