They put the ad out 6 days before the auction date. I don't think they've given and auction date for Mike's Patrol yet. It will be cool to see the ad that they put together. In BaT I think it will get the attention of the truly interested buyers.

Hey Mike, sorry to hear you need to move the Patrol on but totally understand how life sticks its nose in on these things from time to time. Hope we still see you around. I'm still spinning out that you bumped into some mates of. Mine over there... Just crazy small world .

That is a GREAT ad! I think that is a fantastic medium for someone is not well versed in taking, uploading resizing pictures and videos and then putting together a convincing description for the ad. Yes, this will be very interesting to watch. The format seems a bit different than what I understood their guidelines to be, but whatever. It will be great to see how it works.

Best of luck to you Mike. You might be selling this Patrol sooner than you thought. ;)

Mike

I made a BIG Mistake not buying your vehicle off craigslist when you originally listed it for sale on here. With 1200.00 shipping charges to NJ I think it still would have been a fair price at the time. It will be REALLY interesting how much you get for your Patrol in this BAT Auction. I see the buyer has to pay a 5% fee along with the seller paying $250.00 to list the vehicle. So if he does not pay you the auction keeps 5%, no tire kickers on that site.

I just talked to Mike. His phone is blowing up, his email Inbox is growing with new emails so fast he can't respond. The bidding has met his reserve. This is looking like it is turning out to be a very promising venue for selling worthy Patrols.

Disturbing thing is the emails blowing up my phone were all bid notices except 1 that was a question. The guy that bid $8900 put the brakes on all that. I honestly hoped to get 9k for this in fairness to BOTH buyer and myself. :hand:

Mike,

Why are you concerned? You are 100 dollars off your mark!! -250.00 listing fee.

I was going to offer you $8000.00 considering I would have to pay at least $1300.00 shipping charges to NJ and would have to rely on Yours, Leslie's and Patrol60 Users honesty and integrity about this Vehicle site unseen.

My concern is with 6 days to go it could go way above what its honest value of 9k. I don't somebody paying WAY too much from FAR away then be unhappy. I would love for next owner to see in person or at least grill me for more detail. It is all ready past my reserve WITH my fees covered. Riverpatrol and I feel 8500 -9000 is fair to buyer AND seller.

As with any auction - either live or online - that is a real possibility. But it's not something to be concerned with; when people bid in an auction they are aware of what they are doing. I think in this BaT venue it is actually less likely; it's not the same environment as eBay. The bidders actually have to pay to bid, so they are a bit wiser about the process. Relax and enjoy Mike, you deserve it. We all deserve it. The entire Patrol community has worked together to give our obscure vehicles a better name and build recognition, and this kind of interest in your Patrol helps us all towards that goal. :text-bravo:
