Re: Rolly's 76 Soft top
The fiberglass panels and related look really good. Congratulations.
I think the bonnet (hood) looks like the one from the G61, so still is a Patrol one. Great!

Re: Rolly's 76 Soft top
Getting a little bit done, cleaned up and painted the brake booster. Pulled the front off so I can clean the chassis and getting ready for a bit of paint soon. My deadline of having the car on the road for Easter is still on track but now it's Easter 2015. Oh well, can't rush these things.

OK, been a while since I've posted on the (slow) rebuild. Having dramas with stupid windows 8 and pics so had to figure out how to do it all again.

Excellent progress and pictures.
Regarding Windows 8, install "Classic Shell" on it and you'll get the best of both worlds and end your frustration. Google it. Small download that will bring back the Start button.

Re: Rolly's 76 Soft top
Had a few the other night and came up with an absolutely hilarious idea: instead of the air cleaner, mount a tube/hose onto the carby, run it through that big hole on the rhs of the firewall up into the glove box connected to a pair of those filters 18 y/olds put on their buzz boxes (inside the glove box) and then....drum roll.....cut out the glove box door and fit a set of those vanes you see on those big chrome air intakes that sit on top of superchargers and have it hooked up to the linkage on the carby so when you hit the throttle they open up and you can listen to the V8 sucking the air in. More fun than a snorkel and gives something for the passenger to look at. Pure genius even if I do say so myself.
