Well, you know me Stevo.....gotta tell my experience......truth/problem is my experience with this fuel cell driven framing gun technology is 20 years old. The paslode guns in the 90's would shoot about 500 nails and that made it a fantastic specialty item but still airguns were the sure workhorse.
I felt like I was doing R&R for these companies who first came out with the battery powered finish nail guns. What a fiasco! They kinda worked! I bought both 18 and 15 gauge guns thinking I was free of the hose......but having a nail not set perfectly when installing $35 per foot crown moulding will not fly. I think the funniest part was that the units had a little onboard compressor and tank. Upon pulling/holding the trigger, you would hear this 1 second long whining as the comp filled the one shot tank.....then "bam". Man, that was hard to get used to so I never did.
I suppose these experiences made me go with tools that I know will not change components compatibility for 10-20 years.
I'll bet the litium-ion batteries have helped the finish guns be better or maybe kickass but I do not see them on work sites here.
Paslode says that gun you have will shoot 1100-1300 nails with a fuel cell (cost?) so thats double what we knew. That would be really nice if light enough and really shoots 1000+ nails. Get a sky-hook for it to hook on toolbags, joist and rafters.....essential cheap godsend.
And, while I'm rambling, are those Stella Artoise beers on the jobsite? Where is the music? What kinda jobsite is this......call the boss!
