RiverPatrol wrote:Ok, these pictures explain a bit more then. The slave does look mostly correct with the lower bolt in place. The only thing about the slave that is off is that I don't see the bleeder screw, unless it's under the supply line. That will make it pretty tough to bleed the clutch when you go to do that. I think someone else had a similar problem with their slave recently.
That someone else is me. And I replaced my Frankenstein slave with a correct one from Patrols North, and everything is ship-shape again.

Jeff - do you ever get hassled about your license plate?

No, I have not gotten hassled about my plate because I have not had it on the road yet since I got it... yet.

Trying to get it started now and got new NGK BPR6ES plugs, what gap are people running for these plugs and what gap is best on the old waterproof distributor points?

Now, a question about my 66 Patrol, did any come badged as Datsun?

It has Datsun badges on both fenders and the hood?

Yeah, I wasn't sure if maybe it was some rare thing or if somebody pulled all the original badges off and replaced them with tthose. Guess I'll have to get behind the fenders and see see if they filled in the old mounting points.

I've never seen Datsun badges on any. I can definitely see someone doing that though since no one had even heard of Nissan in the 60's.

Hi my name is Mike I just bought a patrol, a 1969 also. I live close by, in Eldorado Hills. We should connect as parts for these are hard to find. Not sure if I am allowed to give out phone numbers on this site. I havent officially intrduced myself yet. will soon though.
