Very very nice indeed. Once you got rolling on it the project went pretty quickly. Awesome results!
Um yeah, the rear seat is indeed a Patrol passenger seat frame. From '68 and later, exactly what plateau cal and jwgreen are looking for.

Have you tried the river crossing below Horseshoe dam on the Verde river? Probably the most epic river crossing I have ever done. You can cross again up by Sheep Bridge and head back to Cave Creek. Good quail hunting back in the day and nice camping near the river by Chalk Mtn. We used to hang out there all the time back in the eighties.

Yes, I've done all 3 of the lower Verde river crossings: Sheep's bridge, Horseshoe, and there is one more lesser-known crossing up on FR68, above Fossil Creek. Not very many people attempt this one because the river is about 300 yards wide in this area.plateaucal wrote:Robert,

The old Horsehoe dam/Chalk Mtn crossing has been closed off for many years, but as far as I know, the 2 above Horsehoe Lake are still passable

We also used to go down Red Creek as well. It took you down to the Verde. The place was littered with pottery. A few years back I went down there on a Ranger and it was overgrown. We also backpacked in the Mazatzal wilderness. Great country. I miss it. Big time. So, post the Sheep Bridge crossing in your Patrol. I almost drowned out my full size Cherokee there.
