I found something interesting yesterday as I was prepping one of my roof sides for paint. There was the last four numbers of my Vin. # stamped in the metal under the window rubber.

That's pretty cool! They've been found in various other places before.

Yeah, I've occasionally seen partial ID number stamps on the hardtop window frame (like yours) or on one of the rear triangle corner braces on the tub, or on the driver's door jamb on the firewall section (near the lower door hinge)
But, not every truck has every number, nor are they in the same place(s), so it seems like they would just stamp (or not stamp) the body somewhere at random... no regular pattern, or consistency from truck to truck...
But it is cool to know that your truck still has its "born with" hardtop...

I can't believe it's been 6 years since I first started restoring the 67. Finally yesterday I had Desert Rat dropped off at the painter. I painted the interior, engine bay and underneath the stock grey but due to my community I don't want to push my luck and set up a spray booth on my driveway. Can't wait to see it shine.

Is that the hood I gave you? Or did you end up fixing the wrinkle in the other one..?
