I just took the green Patrol for the longest ride I have taken since I bought it last summer.
I drove it all the way to the end of the block, and back (about 1/4 mile total ) - To quote Brother JD from the TV show "Turn and Burn" , it was quite the "Danger Ride" with the ignition, starter button, and gauge cluster hanging down between my legs
But, It runs, it goes when you release the clutch pedal, and it stops when you press on the brakes....
I'm gaining on it.

Not yet... Operational is one thing- optimized (and safe) is still quite a ways away. Besides- it's still only 2 wheel drive until I decide what I'm going to do about the front driveshaft clearance issue (Hint: It's probably going to involve fabricating a new #2 crossmember)
And, I think I may already have a buyer lined up - A longtime friend hit me up last week about possibly fixing up an old Jeep for him to keep at his family cabin up in the mountains.
"An old Jeep, huh?.... Well c'mon over, and let me show you what I've already got in the inventory...."

Ok, please ignore the quality of the camera work- it is hard to hold a camera, and drive a death trap all at the same time...

Great progress, Robert.
A couple of knocks to the fuel gauge, always get me one extra gallon of fuel. Works every time.

HAHA yeah - seems I've either got a couple spots on the sender coil where the sweeper is not making solid contact, or the terminals on the multi guage do not have clean contact.
I know the fuel gauge works (at least part -time ) - I watched it slowly rise from empty to 1/8 tank when I added gas to the tank.
I have not gone around this patrol and cleaned up all the ground points yet - when I begin optimizing the electrical system, that will be step number one.
