Hmmm... Smell-o-vision age identification! Awesome! So then, what does 75 years smell like? And 20? How accurate is it? ;-)

John, Great question. I have only been practicing the art of smellometering for a few years. It takes a keen nose and the ability to use psychophonetic interpretation. A 75 year old item should smell like a rust-colored twil hat that has been in storage for 26 years. In contrast, a 20 year old item will be less pungent and smell similar to a 28 x 1.75 pneumatic tube from a 1993 bicycle. I hope this helps.

 Kris

Thanks!

The paint came out okay. Considering it was free and it was my first time, I am happy. I should have been a little more patient and used other paints in the gun before using the Gillespie Acyrlic Enamil. I never figured out what all the control knobs do on the gun.

I have about 1/4 gallon left and was hoping to be able to re spray the outside.

Next week I start on the cage/top frame/dog enclosure thingy.

thanks again,
Kris

Eh- Just think how awesome you'll look pushing it down the road... 8-)

Or, you could just do what I do- I go out in the driveway and sit in my red one occasionally and go "vroom vroom" while I spin the steering wheel back and forth...

Life's not so bad in Mr Roger's "Neighborhood of Make-Believe"

Did you find a replacement the horsehair stuffing? Did you have to replace the caged nuts which attached the spring assembly to the frame?
Photos of the seats (front & rear) would be great.
We need details!!!

Zed,

Here are some pics of the seats. There is a cotton/cloth lining between the seat and the padding. It feels coarse and I see some fibers that appear to be Unicorn hair. I may be wrong but that's what it feels like.
