Definitely worth giving it some love. I sure would love a better picture of the ID plate, and a picture of the ID number stamped on the frame. If you end up with it, please do me that favor.

Brakes bleeding down is expected. Just about any Patrol that has been sitting is going to need the brakes overhauled. Parts are readily available for most of that. Engine fouling the plug, it's probably due for an overhaul, especially at that mileage. But, it can still be driven a bit without it. Looks like a worthy project. Good luck!

It is honestly in very decent shape from the pics. I mean the original parts still in tact are pretty solid...tire carrier, rear step, vinyl cover on trans hump, vent screens, and its the ultra rare air conditioned model...lol. I don't understand the winch setup. Is it a PTO unit? If so, that is perfect as well.

The winch is a hand crank

I bought the Nissan Patrol today.
Paid 2000 for it. Drove it home/towed it home. It was about 7 miles to home, got within 3 miles and it died. didn't mess with it just towed it home.
It is a 1966

The odometer has 89500 miles on it, but the odometer doesn't work, who knows how many mile.
It does smoke a little

The title has the make as DATS, so is it a Datson Nissan Patrol

Congratulations. Any Patrol that you can drive even part way home is a worthy project. They were all titled as Datsuns since Nissan didn't exist in the US at the time they were sold. Please get pics of the ID plate on the firewall with the numbers all legible, the ID number stamped on the frame and the engine number. I'll add what you have provided to the Registry, the pics will make it Verified.

Here is a better picture of the info plate. Where are the numbers on the frame?
I put the battery charger on overnight after I got it home and the next morning it fired up, I'm thinking the alternator might be bad, haven't had time to check.

Thanks, that's perfect. The frame ID is located on the top of the frame on the right front, just out from the exhaust pipe. If you lean over the fender and look down it's going to be on the part of the frame that is accessible to you right there. You might need to clean off a few decades of grime to find it. The engine number is stamped on the engine and is visible from the same location, just back from the timing cover.
