Hi all, Sorry for the thread Jack.

Rooney mentioned in his Original Post here how he owned a 1978 Model MWB G60 and a 1966 Model Ute, Well Last Week End I acquired his old 78 MWB Wagon.

The Poor old girl was getting a bit rough around the edges so she was Deregistered and sat out at Rooney's farm for a few years when a relatively Local mate purchased it in May 2018 mainly for the 253 and 5 Speed Conversion.

My mate Finally got the bits removed that he wanted and Gave me the Rest of it for free, he even delivered it.

Its true, these old g60s defiantly go around in circles.

There isn't to much left on it real good Body wise, though it was free, the dash bits are pretty good so I've already raided most of them, and the bonnet is a Keeper. You notice there's a red bonnet on it ? That's the bonnet of the Red 1979 G60 I brought of Rooney many years back now, it was one of the first few g60s I owned.

He brought it at the time for the Bonnet, Doors and windscreen frame, to replace the ones on the Blue 78, which he never fitted any of them other then the Bonnet and the Red Doors and Windscreen Panel were stored in his shed which I've since also got for spares in my collection.

I've attached a few Photos of Rooney's 78 Below

These were Taken in about 2010-11

These Ones with the Bikini Top On were 2013

And Final Pic Below is when she arrived Last Weekend

Hey, I remember this one - it was for sale when I was first looking for a G60 back around 2012...would have bought it if it were closer to home. The 35s, bikini top and rear tray mesh were distinctive.

Nice to see It's ended up in good hands !

Cheers,
D

All you guys down there live in the Garden of Eden. Man that Patrol had some wear between the pictures. Still every patrol is worth a new roll.

I have a fuel pump if you don't want a new one.

Patrolling in paradise,
