60Patrol

Big box of parts showed up from Japan today. Please note, you can get all these parts yourself, there is nothing special about these parts. I ordered them online from Nissan Japan.





For the 64 all I really got was these, I think they will finish off the axle restore nicely.

Are the shipping charges from Japan better, worse, or about the same as shipping from Australia?

Shipping is good. Parts sent via standard mail, ie snail mail but sent air mail. Sometimes it takes up to 3-months for an order to fill, OEM parts are still in production so sometimes you have to wait for stock to come in. But once they come in, I get boxes by mail from Japan in 5-7 days.

The box pictured above weighed about 60lbs, it cost about $135 to ship from Japan. Packaging is extremely nice with all parts very well protected. That is a big deal when you are buying gaskets.

Can you share the list of the parts you ordered? Also, what are the tires on this Patrol? I like the tread pattern but can't quite make out the brand!

I will see what I can do about a list, best bet is to simply plug part numbers into the website www.amayama.com.

The tires are a Michelin XZL in 7.50x16. We got them from Rovers North, http://www.roversnorth.com/ProductDesc. ... XZL&type=0 I suggest sitting down before you click on that link.

Wow! That is some mighty fine work! I'm not going to show our Patrols these pictures... They will refuse to work at all if they compare the love we give them to this!

BTW -- Thanks for posting the parts list and tire info... And, yes I was happy that I was sitting down! Expensive, but they look really good!..
