Nice work. It does look super clean under the valve cover. How many miles does the odometer show?

That's an extra plus that the bolts aren't breaking off. That is such a pain to deal with. I use the same technique when I can; wire wheel the end of the bolt to clean it up, then a healthy dose of penetrant before twisting the wrench.

Thanks for the pics and progress report!

Finally got some rusted up bolts. The 4 that surround the vents between the body and the fender. What a pain in the a@#.
Pulled the passenger fender.
Got a better look at that shock

Pulled the gas tank. Good shape other than a bit dirty.
Emptied the fuel. Still clean
Pulled the float and it is still pretty nice.
Seperated the tank from the holder and cleaned the crap out of the holder, sanded it from all grime.
Ran out of gas cans to empty the gas, so I plugged up the holes and will bring more cans tomorrow.

I have made some progress.
I think I jinxed myself after posting the first day that all bolts spun right out because after the first day, there have been lots of stuck bolts.
Ive decided to stick with Nissan Blue for the engine with black accents like the exhaust and intake.

I gotta say-Ive done many Scouts and a couple CJ's. This Patrol has been the most fun. These are very cool trucks. I bought my second one today even though Ive still never driven one. I'm curious how these drive.

Here are some new pics

Get help! You're developing the first signs of the sickness

Congratulations on your 2nd Patrol. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun.

"Get Help" - Ha that's awesome. I used to have the sickness with Scouts. I had 5 at once with no end in sight.
I needed a second patrol because this one here is missing a lot of original parts which I really want.
To all of the purists, this will not be a restoration. This is a rebuild and I will be putting back in whatever original parts I can find as well as whatever I think can benefit the ride.
The biggest complaint has to be the doors that don't fit the body line. Other than that, I'm all in

If you think you have the sickness now, wait till you drive one. In my opinion they ride like a Cadillac, but when you bottom one out you will find your kidneys. :D

Wait.... where are the pictures of number 2?

and, I respectfully disagree with Esteban - the sickness does not really set in until you start thinking that having 3 is not not enough... :?

Well I have not picked up the 2nd Patrol yet. I only bought it. Hope it's nice. Going by the pics, it has what I need. The rest will be stocked and set aside for when I need. It was listed on here somewhere. I think in the sale section. I think it is a 1964.

Sickness? What's wrong. With having several Patrols? :teasing-tease:
