My Patrol was sold to me as a 1969 but has round turn signal lenses....i have a copy of the Colorado title (from two owners ago) that show it as a '69 Datsun 2 door!

Does this mean the title is incorrect, or somebody changed the turn signals out? My pics are posted in my gallery that show the round lenses. any info would be appreciated....

You have what's known as a "'68 sold as a '69". The '68 was kind of a transition year for the Patrol, I've heard reference to a '68 1 /2 before but have never found any documentation to verify it. There is not a date of manufacture or model year anyplace on a '68, but they are distinctly different from a '67 or a '69. Essentially, if you have round parking lights, the old style steering wheel, body mounted tail lights, map light in the dash and two windshield vents your Patrol is a '68. It wasn't uncommon for dealerships to title a vehicle as a later year model. There is ample evidence of this seen in the Registry.

So, we just call yours a '68-sold-as-a-'69. :D
Beyond any hope for intervention

My wife is a 1969 model, so I'm still gonna call "Patty" a '69, too
