Here is the pre 68 fabricated rear step for Faux40, I need to finish some touch up spots with a mig welder, paint and ship it out to John. :D

Really nice work! Did you make the jig to press these out? Do you mind if I ask how thick the steel you used is?


Here is a Colombian rear step, you can get these from the body parts vendors. This is for late model Patrols.

We modified it (widen) to suit the earlier style

Owner was not happy with it because it didn't match original enough, no biggie the Colombian steps are cheap.

So I took it to a place in Idaho that has massive fab equipment, huge presses, ect. Our original sample is on the right and the new piece on the left.

The side brackets are nice originals we re-used.

We actually increased the ridges or pressed sections slightly to give the step more strength.

The metal is 18 gauge. I use a brake. The only stamp i use is for the tool boxes i make. Its crude, but it works.

I finished irishpatrol's (Anthony's') rear step. I made 2 so i have an extra one if anyone is interested in it. Its for a 69 Patrol the mounting holes measure 21 1/4" x 2" :D step is $125.00 + shipping :D
