the side measures 9 mm.

I am about 2 hours from heading up to CO to visit Grenadier (Wade) and pick up some parts from him. This is a in and out trip, unfortunately not enough time for more than this... but I will bring along the mirror and if you like, let me know and I will drop if off on my way back home.

Michael, here is the original mirror post and the fiting on the end for the mirror head. I can fabricate an exact fitting for you this one i will keep. You cant have TOM though, he just wouldnt get out of the picture. :D

Since Michael needs it for his '66, the mirror needs to mount on the other side of the firewall. I don't think the mount is ambidextrous. :think:

What is the difference? I dont see it. The mounting holes on the mirror post are cemetrical and the post is centered "inline" with the holes. i cant see where the difference is. Is the Australian mounting holes different?

WOW im impressed Michael! Very good. I also found that the mirror head is 117mm in diameter=4.5" :D
