The rear wheel cylinders are slightly different between the light weight models (USA Patrols and others, mine also) and the heavy duty ones found in Australia. The difference is minor. Swerve knows what to do in this case (grinding a little bit where the shoes sit, or something like that). Maybe send him a PM.

I just checked in the 1973 Parts Manual, and they have both types there (with two brands as well, Tokico and Nabco, so 4 total). However, the lightweight models are 25.4mm (1") and the heavyduty are 28.5mm (1 1/8"). If the add is correct, those are for the lightweight models, so you'll be ok.

If they're not, I'll buy from you at half the price

Front will bolt in. Rear's will be fine if you have half worn shoes, if you have had your shoes relined, you will need to mod the cylinders. Little fustrating as I can't even buy them at a trade price for that amount.

I am curious about these being metric or standard. When someone finds out for sure let us know. The mounting studs for the front brake are 5/16 x 24 thread on nissan cylinders.
Another thing is that I am not aware that there are any differences in cylinders between 62-69. This ad says for 67-77.?

I'm not sure if they're metric or standard, and I'm not where I can try it out on my Patrol. But I do have here at home the old cylinder, and the nuts that were used to attach it, and as you can see from the pics, the existing nut fits fine on the new cylinder (on the bottom). I don't have the brake lines here, but I did find in my old bucket of bolts a bolt that fits into where the brake line goes on the old cylinder, and this bolt also fits into the new cylinder just fine. I apologize for the bad pics, I really need to learn how to use my camera.

Thats confirmation for me...that nut is 5/16 x 24 thread. Also, as Esteban said the 1" bore is correct for most US Patrols.

Well I made it out to see my Patrol this past weekend, and replaced the front passenger side cylinders with these new ones, and they bolted right in just fine, as you said. In another two weeks I'll go out again and attempt to tackle the passenger side rears.

My shoes looked pretty good last time I looked in the rear, so I'm not sure if they're half worn or not. I'll try bolting it in to see if it works. If it doesn't fit well I'll be asking for what the mod is that I'll have to do to get those new cylinders to work, if that's OK. I'll let you know in a couple weeks.

I have 1" cups to rebuild the cyls. I rebuilt mine they work great. Been 4 years now and no leaks.

I installed the rear cylinders this weekend, and the first one went great, and worked fine, the shoes must have been about half. Then I did the other side, it all went smoothly until I tried to put the drum on, and no go. Those shoes had a lot more lining on them. I adjusted it to as loose as it would go, but it still wouldn't fit. So what is the mod that has to be done please? What I was thinking was to grind off a small portion of the ends of each shoe where they go into the cylinder just a bit, but you probably know the correct way to do it.
