Left stock head, right aftermarket head (I believe).

Those mirrors would be from a '68 or later.

Just another post up about side mirrors. I found these 1960-66 chevy truck mirrors look a lot like the fender mounted mirrors on patrols.. I'm not sue if the bends are correct but they look close..and they are all over the "bay" .... although I'm still going to go the jeep/fj40 route..

OK....I have two STOCK mirrors from my 69! One mounted with FACTORY bolts on drivers door(on rounded part of the body line) the other on the passenger side fender (again on the rounded body line)

That's great that you have both of them, usually one or both are missing. The mirrors changed in '68 and went to the door and fender mount rectangular mirror. They seemed to hold up better than the round one one the firewall.

I need an original firewall moutn mirror,i think my one may have been knocked off by the door as there is a slight dent in the door at the height of where the mirror head would be

Chevy mounts are different. they are flat & bigger. Here is pics of 69 Patrol mount door vs Chevy bolt pattern. & a 69 rectancal head. also an aftermarket on my 69.
