The width and the pin location are the main differences between the FJ40 and Patrol springs. Possibly the length also.

What did rawml end up doing on his setup? I'm quite sure he had 40 axles under his first project.

I will say that I have some sort of fabed spring sets on my '67 frontend. 2 3/4" wide and seem to be appropriate,....a PO thing.
This subject has been kicked around SOOOOOO much and never finalized. 67/60-John W. had gained some knowledge on this but as I recall in the end it did not work or was delicate some how. He tried....and their is info to start from out there (somewhere ) that you can see.

There are some specs in mm here I believe (BTW, I have sent these to Alcan for reference)...

I'm just poking and prodding, looking for answers.. with this last lead on the blazer leafs.. I know if I want to get Heavy duty shackles Chevy blazer fronts will maybe be a bolt on.??? Also if you want do an add-a leaf they should work also?? maybe to just boost your pack if the main is still good..

I wonder if this patrol rode like a tank??

thats just a bolt on carrier leaf kit, it adds a touch more tension back into old leaf packs. on old sagged leaf packs they will give back a little lift but dont really increase the harshness by much, more like bringing them back to what they were like as stock.

Look at the prints above 43" vs 41.3" that's awfully close. and lots of fj60's getting parted.. At least for the fronts, I'm still working on the rear.. those prints are really hard to read although I appreciate them they confuse me..

I just went out a nd measured.....the front looks like a bingo....seriously! I measured about 43-43 1/2 on my 62 and checked the 65 too. The fron and rear portions are equal (21 1/2 + 21 1/2). 2 3/4" width!!!!!!
WTH? I think you found it for the front springs!
