Really old stuff that got saved. Here are the old Nissan Patrol Club America messages from the 'General' category. Warning, it's dusty in here!

Moab 2005

Just returned from a week in Moab, I put on over 1200 miles in one week and got a steady 16-18 mpg by keeping it at or below 55mph. I also put the Patrol through several trails, Poison Spider, Steelbender and about 1/2 of Hell's Revenge. The weather was perfect and the trails uncrowded: we only saw about 20 4x4's(all Jeeps) on the 3 days we had the Patrol out, and all of those were locked and lifted trailer queens with at least 35" tires. Most of them were cool and appreciated seeing an old Patrol out on the trails, but some were asshats who didnt think that an ancient stock Patrol with open differentials and skinny mismatched tires should be on the 3 1/2 and 4 rated trails-I did bypass some obstacles, such as Tip Over Challenge on Hell's Revenge, because I didnt have a roll cage.Unfortunately we were having so much fun we didnt take many photos-the only photos are of a section of Hells revenge that I followed a group of trailer queen Jeeps through-The narrow Patrol walked through this obstacle while the lifted and wider Jeeps had to place a wheel high on the side and one damaged his top on the rock. Overall the ol Patrol  did well, I did (re) damage the stock steps but other than that she easily  handled the trails. Here is a link on how NOT to take Hells revenge: http://www.toysbytroy.com/Page_Video.htm  and a shot of a wider Jeep taking the same obstacle as my Patrol in the Moab 2005 photo folder, it is the second to last phot on the page: http://members.tripod.com/HoboJeepers/M ... ab02HR.htm
