Really old stuff that got saved. Here are the old Nissan Patrol Club America messages from the 'General' category. Warning, it's dusty in here!

I have one of these on my 66. I had it rebuilt but the float level is clearly wrong as it keeps flooding and when I pull off the top of the carb, I can see that fuel is far too high in the bowl. my manual gives me al of the stats for the Hitachi but nothing for the Rochestor. anyone know the float level measurement?

I had the actual instructions for adjusting the float on the Rochester carb.  I bought a rebuild kit from Napa many yeas ago and when I tore into the carb I noticed the float was out of wack.  I just adjusted the float as the instructions called for and returned the unused rebuild kit.  I did photocopy the instruction page before I returned it that had all the stats and how to adjust the float.  When I find it I will post it.  In the meantime look for the Napa # on the website for the compatible rebuild kit and take a look at the instructions at the local Napa if you wish...

Thanks. I had the carb rebuilt near the start of this project but thought I had a float level problem due to a leaking needle valve so messed with the level - without measuring the factory setting first. Turns out that the fuel pump was not working properly - pressure too low - and that was causing the problem not the float setting at all. (I put in an electric pump and no more needle valve leakage.) Now I would like to correct what I did with the float .....     let me know when you post that info. Thanks a bunch.
