Has anyone been able to remove the gear from one of the water proof distributors? I can't find a pin or any other means of removing it . I'm trying to change over to an HEI system. Thanks Ed

I have looked in the message board for any reference of the distro but not enough detail on how to make it work. What are you using?Abraham_________________________________________________________________Don’t just search. I have seen pictures of the z distributor on the net.I don't know how that conversion would work, the shaft looks too short.I heard that the z conversion does not allow for proper oil cooling .I'm using a chevy distributor from a 250 straight 6. The guy I talked to said that all you have to do is shorten the shaft, grind a new tip and make a new gear. I would rather use my old gear but I don't know how it comes off without damaging it or the shaft. Thanks Ed

I checked out the website!!It's awesome, it looks like it's minimal work to do the convertion. I will give it a try as well and post my DIY article some time in the future.Unless the author of that DIY does not mind positing his article here instead. It will help a lot.
