Vintage advertising media
This was a News Release for the Patrol in '67 by Parker Advertising. Parker Advertising did the advertising for Datsun in the '60s. I came across this on eBay a few years ago, and shortly after obtaining it had the opportunity to visit Mr John Parker at his home on Coronado Island in San Diego. We talked about him using Roy Rogers for the advertising, and he signed this News Release for me. The photo directly below it is the photo that accompanied the release.

This is an example of how the photos get used in advertising media:

Re: Vintage advertising media
Very cool !!!
Ouch..........Dang it, I have been bitten by the Patrol bug!!!!
Is there any way to get clots of those? I will pay, I just want to have a bunch of stuff for car shows this summer.
Also we are planning Hot August Nights in Reno, NV, 45 miles from my house. Maybe get a bunch of patrols together for some fun? I can also get a good friend involved who writes for a couple off road magazines, and we could have a photo shoot and trail run at the same time.

Do you mean copies? Hard copies? If so, that can probably be arranged.Sierra Patrol wrote: Is there any way to get clots of those?
That sounds like a great time. I have gone through Reno once towing a Patrol to a Datsun Meet in Shasta. Spent the night there. Alas, I no longer have a tow vehicle, and I don't relish the thought of driving a Patrol all the way up 395.Sierra Patrol wrote:Also we are planning Hot August Nights in Reno, NV, 45 miles from my house.
