Half side doors.
Is there any half side doors out there for sale? Mine are full doors, and during the summer I would like a set of those early ones that upper have comes off and the door matches the body line.

Re: Half side doors.
Here's the deal: when Nissan changed the doors in 65 1/2 they also changed the latch and striker on the door and B post. The B post itself is entirely different. Now, that's not to say it can't be done. It has been done. But because the dovetail that holds the door in place when it's shut will be missing, your doors can and will fly open at will when hitting bumps or rough road. I can get pictures tomorrow for you if you'd like more detail.
So with that said, I have a set of the short doors if you are seriously interested.

Okay well I guess I could just get another set of doors if I can find them, and cut and cap them so they will be half doors.

Re: Half side doors.
I might be able to help you with that also. I have a set of doors from a '67 that I was just going to use the upper frames from. The doors need some work, they're rusted out in a couple of places. But I was just going to scrap them. You can have them if you want. It would be just the door without the window frame, glass and regulator.Sierra Patrol wrote:Okay well I guess I could just get another set of doors if I can find them, and cut and cap them so they will be half doors.
