Okay,   I need some help. My headlights are out as well as my brake lights and horn. Everything else works including the turn signals. Is there a relay that the headlights, brake lights, and horn go through ? If there is a relay does anyone have a part number for it.   Thanks in advance,   Phil

Phil,I am not real good at eletrical but I have seen many rotted out and dead fuse boxes on Patrols, maybe start there. Also there is a wiring diagram posted on this site, I think it the patrol Info section. Good luck!

Phil-Since multiple things went out at the same time, it shuold be relatively easy to isolate where the problem is, the electric on old patrols is relatively straightforward and accessable. The easiest way to figure out what is going on is with a test wire and another wire with two aligator clips. Id simply start by hooking up the  wire  from the + on the battery to the headlight. should work. then go from the battery pos. to the light switch on the dash. should work. do this again and it will take you to the fusebox on the passenger firewall under the hood. Like fud said, this is likely your problem. hopefully cleaning the fusebox will solve your problem. If not, it is between the ignition and the fusebox, let us know if this helps. Duane

Thanks,   I'll check the wiring diagram. I was wondering if there was a relay that those three go though  besides the fuse box which is in pretty good shape at first glance. It doesn't appear that the electrical system has been touched since day one .  Has anyone completely rewired their Patrol ?    Phil

I just replaced my horn relay not too long ago. I believe it  had wires  only for the horn. Ocassionaly my lights won't come on, But after tapping the dimmer switch and jiggling the light switch they come on. I guess they are worn out or have a short.  Keith
