Rear Brake play?

Are the rear brakes suppose to move left and right 1/4 inch or so? Never noticed this before.

Sorry for the brevity.They are a 'floating' type brake system. That's why the wheel cylinders are held on with several spring clips instead of being bolted on like the fronts. I think the intent is to give it better braking when backing up, since the brake shoes can shift to give more surface contact on the drum.
