Patrol Value

Post by PereMarquette1223 »

Good news! I tracked down the owner of that abandoned Patrol I found in Grand Rapids and I’m hoping to be able to meet up with him in the near future. Best case scenario, he is willing to sell me the car

Anyone have any rough estimates as to how much a 66 Patrol in non-running condition with a good body and bad paint is worth? It’s been sitting outside for the better part of a decade here in Michigan so it has dealt with its fair share of neglect in that time.

Out of respect for the owner I am not positing a photo since it’s on private property, but I’m hoping to have a ball park figure to work around before I start this potential negotiation.

That is good news! Your diligence paid off finally. Congratulations!

The value of a non-running project Patrol is subjective, but from your description I would venture to say under $3000.
Beyond any hope for intervention

That's about what I was thinking. I was going to stand tall at $2000, but use some of the usual sales pitch tactics to drive that number home.

I mean if he flat out ignores me then I won’t… eventually there will be a point where if I can’t make any progress that I will have to move on.
