A quick heads up if you are using the Isuzu rear wheel cylinder for donor front wheel cylinder parts.
I found a single cylinder in St Thomas, USVI.
Cheap as chips and still available stateside.
You cannot use your original pistons with the Isuzu seals.
The Isuzu's pistons are smaller but they do seem to work just fine. Even the dust caps fit.
If you are ordering new cylinders from 4x4 in Australia be aware they take ages to get to you.
2 months and I’m still waiting.
Maybe you can contact them directly and get them sent by Courier? Their default shipping from an e bay order is Australia Post.

Here you can see the size difference of the pistons. I should have removed the dust caps for a better photo.
Interestingly the shorter Isuzu piston will be sealing on a previously unused or lightly used section of the cylinder wall.
The Isuzu piston is sealing about 10mm further out of the cylinder.
If you have pitting those pits may not be a problem?
Just a thought!

Several members have posted how important accurate brake shoe adjustment is to get a decent high pedal.
That is SO true, after a big refit use the brakes hard and re adjust once they are bedded in.

Excellent information! Thanks.
I ordered just the seals last week and arrived today (the seal kit I posted cost about the same as the complete cylinder :o ). They include the dust cap. I only measured the outside of the seals to confirm they are 1 inch in diameter, same as the Patrol.
Update: I received yesterday just the seal kit (seal and dust cap) The seal is exactly the same but the dust cap is smaller. I also found that Rockauto is selling the rear Isuzu wheel cylinders very cheap.

The possibility of using just the piston with seal and dust cap looks very interesting. Please let us know what you did. Thanks,
