69 Patrol Rear End

Bottoms out? Shimmies? Shackles, springs, shocks, steering linkage etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Suspension' category are here.

69 Patrol Rear End

I need information on the model number of the rear end. I stripped the ring and pinion gears. I have a spare rear end but need new thrust washers to set the new unit. I hope someone can help. Only one person at one of the several dealers and parts houses even knew what a patrol was and he didn't think parts were available.          Thanks

Captain Mark,Could you please be a little more specific as to which "thrust" washers you need. Are you refering to the shim washers that go behind the inner bearing race (large)for the pinion or the shim washers that go between the pinion bearing spacer and the outer pinion bearing (small) ?Then again could you be refering to the shim washers that go in behind the carrier bearings ?If you are still having trouble get back to me and let me know. I may have the parts you need.Scooter.
