I have a 69 g 60 Patrol I have no spark and suspect the coil there are no markings on the coil itself, the bracket has 12 v C1Z -18 stamped on it. I'm not having much luck finding it, Please help

There are plenty. Very very easy easy to fine, Be sure to get one with an internal capcapsitor in it,

The Patrol ignition coil doesn't use a resistor, internal or external.
The coil number for the Patrol is 22433-14806
With that you can find at Rockauto the following using the search function or just the following link:

A number of options appear. I'll chose the NGK brand.

Esteban, You are right. They will run either way but we have found they run cooler with one….thus seem to last longer.
