Hello,
I have a set of 5 original rims for my Patrol. It’s a 1969, so I know they aren’t original to that year.
Looking at the rims I don’t see a bead ridge and am thinking they require tubes. Is that correct?
Thank you,
Bill

Re: Original 16” rims require tubes?
The US Patrol 16" rims did require the use of a tube. I think some folks have been able to get around that by having the rim modified somehow but I'm not sure of the details. Maybe L60Boerne will chime in, he's got a few of them.
Beyond any hope for intervention

Re: Original 16” rims require tubes?
Greetings. I can confirm that the 16” rims from my 63, if OEM do not require tubes.
If I’m not mistaken, and I often am, these might have come from RiverPatrol, if not, they came from the original Green Machine.
Please note, I assume I have OEM rims but I’m not certain.
