Indeed! I realize that probably for the majority of 60 series Patrol owners their Patrols aren't their only vehicles, but mine is my only vehicle.

Thank you! I looked at it. Another member said he will sell me a shaft, and I should know about that today. The parts source in India seems to have lots of shafts, and I'm waiting to hear back from them on the cost plus shipping.

Re: Left Side Rear Axle Shaft 1965 L60
Does anyone know if the threads on the L60 axle shaft nut were changed from right-hand to left hand thread in later production? My Patrol is a '65 and the nut is right-hand. I got another axle shaft, I think it came from a later model Patrol, and the shaft threads seem to be left-hand.

You are correct. They changed beginning 09/67 to a LH thread according to the parts manual.Timoun wrote:Does anyone know if the threads on the L60 axle shaft nut were changed from right-hand to left hand thread in later production? Patrol is up and patrolling again. Many, many thanks to Flaggoni for the axle shaft, and also to all the other 60 Patrol members for their suggestions and advice!
