More electrical problems

  Hi fellow Patrollers! Looking through previous discussions I read something about pre   '67s having a + ground  syst- em. My '66 must  have been in that catagory. A previous  owner had converted to an engine compartment battery      holder (next to the oil bath "scrubber" on the pass. side fe-nder) and changed over to - ground. That may explain my problem: I've got power to everything  except the flasher     circuit. My head, dash and taillights work, but I dont seem to get any brakelights, front markers, or turn sigs. The flasher unit checks out, and the wires to the blinker were    all pulled out and butchered. I,ve spent about 4 long even- ings on this and wonder if any of you have had similar     headaches?                                                                    By the way, is it advisable to convert back to + ground, and, how to do it?
