What should one charge those who stop you and ask questions?

If it doesn't fit in the others but is 60 series related, post it up.

What should one charge those who stop you and ask questions?

Post by L60Boerne »

This occurred to me recently as I burned out the one remaining E Brake I had that would grab. I apparently need to charge about $250 for questions. By the time the questions are over I am late for something so I speed off only smell my E Brake about 300 yards later.

I need two or three spare E Brake assemblies in stock so I can slap another one on after a fresh round of questions.

If you have pity on me please send me an assembly. I will have it resurfaced and installed while the existing one is resurfaced.

Yes, I have the mind of a midget and I don’t expect to learn anything. I see many burned out E Brake pads in my future.

PM me with pity and parts.

That smell is terrible, as is the instant sinking realization.

You are not a true owner of a Patrol if you haven't burn at least once the E brake.

Years ago I considered adding a warning light to prevent that from happening. A few oil leaks that inevitably end up in the E brake made me forget about that idea, since they soaked the lining and rendered the E brake almost useless.

Well, on the bright side my first Patrol, Presidio Patrol had a stagging brake and it worked very well.
I’m not sure how they work..but worked with the flick of a toggle.

Or you could install a dummy buzzer switch setup, like the ones for headlights, that would sound when you have the parking brake on and the Patrol is say in gear or something like that. Not too terribly difficult to wire but would need to fabricate some brackets to hold the switch/switches.
